Life in the Lot is full of surprises. We have been visiting this area of France for over 25 years and it never ceases to delight. In this blog, we try to capture some of the daily incidents, often trivial, which entertain and interest us. La vie dans le Lot est pleine de surprises. 15th September 2024: wild carrot
The seed heads of the wild carrot fold into attractive shapes. Les têtes de graines de la carotte sauvage se plient en formes attrayantes.
13th September 2024: cyclamen carpet
The cyclamen are particularly good this year, bordering the paths. Les cyclamens sont particulièrement beaux cette année, en bordure des sentiers.
12th September 2024: new wood
And we have a new wood, donated to the village in memory of a resident. Et nous avons un bois neuf, offert au village en mémoire d'un habitant.
11th September 2024: new book exchange
We have a new facility in the village – a book exchange. Nous avons une nouvelle installation dans le village – un échange de livres.
10th September 2024: road repairs
Even though we live in the countryside and there is little traffic, our road is being improved. Même si nous vivons à la campagne et qu'il y a peu de circulation, notre route est en cours d'amélioration.
9th September 2024: leafy trees
We are back in the Lot and the plane trees have lots of leaves, despite being pruned earlier in the year. Nous sommes de retour dans le Lot et les platanes ont beaucoup de feuilles, bien qu'ils aient été taillés plus tôt dans l'année.
